Interior Design Trends We're Loving For 2026

This year we are predicting the world of interior design trends will continue to evolve with a focus on colour drenching, nostalgia and personal expression. From eco-conscious materials to bold design choices, the future of interior design is a beautiful blend of functionality and aesthetics. Whether you're a seasoned design enthusiast or someone just starting out on your home reno journey, we hope you get inspired by some of our favourite trends at the moment.

Warm Minimalism

Minimalism isn’t disappearing it’s warming up. Cool whites are giving way to creamy neutrals, mushroom greys and warm woodgrains a direction celebrating softer, calmer foundations. The look feels more lived-in, layered through texture, gentle contrast and natural finishes.

Cosy Nostalgia

The ’70s return but with restraint. Curved forms, chocolate browns, olive greens and sculptural lighting bring a sense of comfort and familiarity. It’s less retro revival, more subtle reference. Blending vintage influences with streamlined cabinetry creates spaces that feel expressive.

Tactile Details & Textures

Flat surfaces are giving way to texture. Fluting, ribbing and vertical panelling are adding depth through shadow and light. These details bring architectural interest while keeping palettes restrained. Our Imperial fluted top (pictured below) reflects this shift, introducing fluted detailing to our Surry & Thea vanities without competing with surrounding materials. It’s texture that elevates, rather than dominates.

Silver & Metallic Accents

Chrome is back. Brushed Nickel and silver finishes are replacing heavy brass, adding contrast to warmer palettes. The mix of warm and cool feels fresh and balanced. In bathrooms, metallic hardware paired with organic textures or modern benchtops creates personality without overpowering the space.

Shades of Blue

After years of green, blue is making its way through interiors (as seen in the Dulux 2026 Colour Forecast). From deep mineral tones to soft powdery hues, blue offers versatility calming yet confident. It pairs seamlessly with warm neutrals, timber and brushed metals. In bathrooms, blue cabinetry or feature tiling creates impact, grounded by neutral surfaces for balance.

Sustainable Design

Longevity matters more than ever. Homeowners are prioritising durable materials, quality craftsmanship and layouts that function for years to come. The focus is shifting from fast trends to considered choices. Investing in timeless cabinetry profiles and resilient benchtops reduces the need for constant updates. Looking Ahead

This year is less about following strict design rules and more about creating spaces that reflect you. Warm palettes, layered textures and meaningful details are replacing stark minimalism and fleeting trends. The result? Homes that feel comfortable, expressive and enduring designed for everyday life.
